Left 4 Dead

For a while now, zombie modifications have been plaguing the servers of just about all of our favorite online PC shooters. Here's the problem: They all sucked. Thankfully, while working on gameplay based on an ad hoc in-house Counter-Strike mode, Valve decides “Alright, dickwads, this is how it's done.” With Left 4 Dead, the zombie survival genre now only kinda sucks.

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts

8 years have passed since the last traditional Banjo game was released. Has the shift in gameplay affected its quality? Thankfully, no, it hasn't. Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts is undeniably a sidestep from its predecessors' gameplay, but it's still a damn good game worthy of at least trying out the demo.

Assassin's Creed

One of the head-turners of yester-year, Assassin's Creed didn't necessarily live up to our expectations, but it still manages to eke out a solid performance.

A few changes

Okay, a couple of decisions have been made. First of all, videos have been dropped as a feature of the site. It was a tough decision, but I don't think I can keep up with a schedule for something I haven't even thought up yet. If I make any videos, they'll still go up on YouTube, but not under the Gridline Productions name. The videos already on YouTube will stay up, but I just can't keep up a status quo with creating videos. Plus, with added focus on the Ustream feed, videos will eventually become redundant.

That said, I've decided to put focus squarely on gaming journalism. I'm hoping some day to make the site completely based on freelance game journalism and stand firmly by that. I'm also hoping to change the name of "Gridline Productions" to "The Gridline". It has a nicer ring to it in terms of a site based around gaming journalism, and since I'm not producing anything anymore, there's no reason to add "Productions" at the end.

Also, I've added an affiliate. And by affiliate, I mean we each put links to each other's websites on our own websites. Hopefully I'll add more affiliates in an attempt to leach off of their popularity so we can establish a community based on our common grounds. Affiliates will be linked at the top of the page.
